Notaresco

As you explore the narrow streets and alleyways of Notaresco, you'll be transported back in time to a bygone era. The town's medieval architecture is well-preserved, with ancient stone buildings and towers lining the streets. Highlights include the Palazzo Baronale, a stunning 16th-century palace that now serves as the town hall, and the Church of San Giovanni Battista, an impressive 13th-century church with intricate frescoes and a beautiful bell tower.

Notaresco is also known for its traditional cuisine, which is based on local ingredients such as olive oil, truffles, and Montepulciano wine. You'll find plenty of family-run trattorias and restaurants serving up delicious regional dishes, such as spaghetti alla chitarra (a type of pasta served with a meat sauce) and arrosticini (grilled skewers of lamb). Don't forget to try some of the local cheese, such as pecorino and caciocavallo, which are perfect paired with a glass of red wine.
