AKRAI

Palazzolo Acreide is a town and comune in the Province of Syracuse, Sicily. It is 43 kilometres (27 mi) from the city of Syracuse in the Hyblean Mountains. It is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia.

As you wander through the cobblestone streets of Palazzolo Acreide, you'll feel as though you've stepped back in time. The town was founded in the 7th century BC by the ancient Greeks, and its rich cultural heritage is evident in the numerous temples, theatres, and other ancient structures that still stand today.

One of the most impressive landmarks in Palazzolo Acreide is the ancient Greek theatre, which dates back to the 3rd century BC. The theatre was carved into the side of a hill and could seat up to 10,000 spectators. Today, it is still used for concerts and other cultural events.
