Roč is a village in Istria County, north-west Croatia. Administratively it belongs to the town of Buzet. Roč is considered a historic town rather than a village due to its rich cultural heritage.
As you wander through the narrow streets of Roč, you'll be transported back in time to the medieval period. The village is home to several historical landmarks, including a 14th-century church, a bell tower, and the remains of an ancient castle. Take a stroll around the village walls and admire the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys.
Roč is also renowned for its traditional crafts, particularly its musical heritage. The village is home to the Istrian scale, a unique musical system that dates back to the 16th century. You can learn more about this fascinating tradition at the local museum, which showcases a collection of ancient instruments and recordings of traditional Istrian music.
