Sofia is the capital and largest city of Bulgaria. It is situated in the Sofia Valley at the foot of the Vitosha mountain, in the western part of the country. The city is built west of the Iskar river and has many mineral springs, such as the Sofia Central Mineral Baths. It has a humid continental climate.

As WE explore this beautiful locality, YOU will discover a city that is rich in history, culture, and natural beauty. Sofia is a city that has been inhabited by various civilizations, starting from the Thracians, Greeks, and Romans, and later the Byzantines, Ottomans, and Bulgarians. This has resulted in a city that has a unique blend of architectural styles, including Roman ruins, Ottoman mosques, and Soviet-era buildings.

One of the most famous landmarks of Sofia is the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, a stunning Orthodox cathedral that dominates the skyline of the city. The cathedral was built in honor of the Russian soldiers who died during the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878. Its golden domes and intricate frescoes make it a must-visit destination for anyone visiting Sofia.
