Necochea is a port and beach city in the southwest of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. The city is located on the Atlantic Coast, along the mouth of the Quequén Grande River, 528 km (328 mi) from Buenos Aires and 120 km (75 mi) southwest of Mar del Plata. The city proper has 90,000 inhabitants per the 2010 census [INDEC] and is the seat of government for Necochea Partido.

One of the main draws of Necochea is its stunning coastline. The town boasts over 70 kilometers of sandy beaches, perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and surfing. One of the most popular beaches is Playa Quequén, which offers calm waters and a picturesque lighthouse. If you're looking for a more secluded spot, check out Costa Bonita, a quiet beach surrounded by sand dunes.

Beyond the beaches, Necochea has plenty to offer. Take a stroll through the town center, where you'll find quaint cafes, shops, and restaurants. Don't miss the chance to try some local cuisine, such as fresh seafood or empanadas. For a taste of history, visit the Parque Miguel Lillo, a nature reserve that was once home to the indigenous Pampas people.
