M'Hamid El Ghizlane, also known as Lamhamid Ghozlane, is a small oasis town in Zagora Province, Drâa-Tafilalet, Morocco, with about 7500 inhabitants.
Mhamid is a place where time seems to stand still, and the desert landscape stretches out as far as the eye can see. It's a perfect destination for those who seek an authentic Moroccan experience, away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities.
The town is surrounded by beautiful sand dunes, and you can take a camel ride to explore the vast desert landscape. You can also opt for a 4x4 safari and experience the thrill of driving across the sandy terrain. Sunset and sunrise are especially magical times to experience the desert, with the sky painted in shades of pink, orange and red.
