Midhurst is a market town and civil parish in the Chichester District in West Sussex, England. It lies on the River Rother, 20 miles (30 km) inland from the English Channel and 12 miles (19 km) north of Chichester.
Midhurst is a small market town with a rich history dating back to the medieval times. Its picturesque setting, surrounded by the rolling hills of the South Downs National Park, provides a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. From its historic architecture to its scenic countryside, Midhurst has something for everyone.
One of the town's most notable landmarks is Cowdray House, a magnificent Tudor mansion that was once home to the powerful Cowdray family. Although the original house was destroyed by fire in the 18th century, the ruins and surrounding gardens are open to visitors and offer a glimpse into the grandeur of the past.
