Torre Annunziata is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Naples, in the Italian region of Campania. It is located on the Gulf of Naples, at the foot of Mount Vesuvius.

One of the main attractions in Torre Annunziata is the ancient Roman city of Oplontis, which was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. You can wander through the ruins of this once-thriving city and imagine what life was like for the people who lived there over 2,000 years ago. The Villa of Poppaea, a luxurious palace that belonged to the wife of the Roman Emperor Nero, is also located within the Oplontis archaeological site.

If you're interested in art and architecture, Torre Annunziata has plenty to offer. The town is home to several beautiful churches, including the Basilica di Santa Maria a Pugliano, which features stunning frescoes and intricate carvings. You can also visit the Palazzo Vallelonga, a historic palace that has been restored and converted into a museum of contemporary art.
