Lyme Regis is a seaside town in west Dorset, England, 25 miles (40 km) west of Dorchester and east of Exeter. Sometimes dubbed the "Pearl of Dorset", it lies by the English Channel at the Dorset–Devon border. It has noted fossils in cliffs and beaches on the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site and heritage coast. The harbour wall, known as The Cobb, appears in Jane Austen's novel Persuasion, the John Fowles novel The French Lieutenant's Woman and the 1981 film of that name, partly shot in the town.

Lyme Regis is a hidden gem that is often overlooked by tourists, but it's a must-visit destination for anyone who loves stunning scenery, historic architecture and a laid-back atmosphere. The town is situated on the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it's renowned for its fossil-rich cliffs and beaches.

One of the town's top attractions is the famous Cobb, an ancient harbour wall that was featured in Jane Austen's novel, Persuasion. The Cobb is a popular spot for fishing and walking, and it offers breathtaking views of the sea and the town.
