Waidring is a municipality in the Kitzbühel district in the Austrian state of Tyrol located 20 km northeast of Kitzbühel and 9 km east of Kirchdorf in Tirol near the border with Salzburg. The village was mentioned for the first time as „Waitheringen“ in documents from 1147.
As you explore this lovely village, you'll be struck by its beauty. The towering peaks of the Loferer and Leoganger mountains provide a stunning backdrop to the village's rustic architecture. Waidring's traditional wooden houses and colorful flower boxes are a testament to the region's history and culture.
But Waidring is more than just a pretty face. It's also a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The village is surrounded by sprawling forests, alpine meadows, and crystal-clear streams. Hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding are popular activities in the area. And in the winter, the village transforms into a winter wonderland, with ski slopes, cross-country skiing trails, and snowshoeing routes.
