Grand Ely Lodge

Nestled in the heart of the Great Basin desert, Ely is a hidden gem that's often overlooked by travelers heading to more popular destinations like Las Vegas and Reno. However, if you're looking for a peaceful and authentic American experience, Ely is well worth a visit.

One of the main attractions of Ely is its rich history, which dates back to the days of the Old West. The town was founded in the late 19th century as a mining boomtown, and you can still see evidence of this in the many historic buildings and landmarks that dot the landscape.

One of the most impressive of these is the Nevada Northern Railway Museum, which offers a glimpse into the golden age of rail travel. Here, you can take a ride on a vintage steam train or explore the restored depot and workshops.
