Levi was, according to the Book of Genesis, the third of the six sons of Jacob and Leah, and the founder of the Israelite Tribe of Levi and the grandfather of Aaron, Moses and Miriam. Certain religious and political functions were reserved for the Levites.
Levi is a popular destination for travelers looking to experience the magic of a winter wonderland. Nestled in the Finnish Lapland region, this small town is surrounded by snow-covered forests and stunning mountain landscapes. And while it may be famous for its winter activities, there's something to enjoy in Levi all year round.
During the winter months, you can hit the slopes and go skiing or snowboarding on the numerous pistes in the area. For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, cross-country skiing is a popular option. There are also plenty of opportunities for snowmobiling, ice fishing, and even reindeer sleigh rides.
