Oualidia or Loualidia is a village in Morocco's Atlantic coast in the Casablanca-Settat region and at the border of Merrakch-Asfi. It is situated between El Jadida and Asfi and is located beside a protected natural lagoon and has been called Morocco's "oyster capital," a reference to the significant role shellfish harvesting plays in the local economy.
Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and a saltwater lagoon, Oualidia is a picturesque town that offers a range of activities for travelers of all ages. You can spend your days lounging on the beach, paddleboarding on the lagoon, or exploring the town's rich history and culture.
One of the main attractions in Oualidia is the lagoon, which is home to over 300 species of birds and is a popular spot for birdwatching. You can also take a boat tour of the lagoon to see the oyster farms that the town is famous for.
