Ahmedabad, also spelt Amdavad and historically known as Karnavati, is the most populous city in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is the administrative headquarters of the Ahmedabad district and the seat of the Gujarat High Court. Ahmedabad's population of 5,570,585 makes it the sixth-most populous city in India, and the encompassing urban area population estimated at 8,854,444 is the seventh-most populous in India. Ahmedabad is located near the banks of the Sabarmati River, 25 km (16 mi) from the capital of Gujarat, Gandhinagar, also known as its twin city.

As you step into Ahmedabad, you will be mesmerized by its beautiful architecture and bustling streets. The city is home to many historical monuments such as the Sabarmati Ashram, which was once the residence of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. This ashram played a pivotal role in India's struggle for independence and is now a museum that showcases various artifacts and photographs from that era.

Another prominent landmark in Ahmedabad is the Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, which is known for its intricate stone carvings. The mosque was built in the 16th century and is one of the few remaining examples of Indo-Islamic architecture in the city.
