L'Escapade de Marijac

Lyons-la-Forêt is a commune of the Eure department, Normandy, in northwest France. Lyons-la-Forêt has distinctive historical geography, and architecture, and contemporary culture, as a consequence of the Forest of Lyons, and its bocage, and of the adjacent Pays de Bray. It is a member of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France Association.

As you wander through the narrow streets lined with half-timbered houses, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time. The town has a rich history dating back to the 11th century, and many of the buildings have been beautifully preserved. One of the most notable landmarks is the St. Denis Church, a striking Gothic structure that dates back to the 13th century.

Lyons-la-Forêt is also surrounded by lush forests and rolling hills, making it the perfect destination for nature lovers. You can take a leisurely stroll through the nearby Forêt Domaniale de Lyons, a vast forest that covers over 10,000 acres. The forest is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including deer, wild boar, and foxes.
