La Vecchia Marina sul mare

Marinella di Selinunte, also known as Marinella, is a southern Italian village and hamlet (frazione) of Castelvetrano, a municipality in the Province of Trapani, Sicily. It is located close to the Ancient Greek city of Selinunte and, in 2011, it had a population of 1,499.

One of the highlights of Marinella di Selinunte is the Archaeological Park, which houses the largest archaeological site in Europe. This ancient city was once a thriving Greek colony and it is fascinating to see the ruins of temples, homes and public buildings that have been preserved for centuries. As YOU wander through the park, YOU can almost feel the history come to life and imagine what life was like for the people who lived here.

If YOU are looking for some relaxation, Marinella di Selinunte has some of the most beautiful beaches in Sicily. The crystal-clear waters and soft sand make it a perfect spot for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying the Mediterranean sun. WE recommend taking a stroll along the beach at sunset to experience the stunning colors of the sky over the sea.
