Klausen is an urban comune (municipality) and a village in South Tyrol in northern Italy, located about 20 kilometres (12 mi) northeast of the city of Bolzano. It is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia.
As you wander through the cobbled streets of Chiusa, you'll be transported back in time to a place where history and tradition are still very much alive. The town's medieval architecture is a testament to its long and storied past, with stunning churches, castles, and towers around every corner.
One of the highlights of Chiusa is the Sabiona Monastery, which sits atop a hill overlooking the town. This ancient Benedictine abbey dates back to the 17th century and is home to a stunning collection of frescoes and artwork that will leave you in awe.
