Posada Castillo

Mineral del Monte, commonly called Real del Monte or El Real, or "Moon an Menydh" in Cornish is a small mining town, and one of the 84 municipalities of Hidalgo, in the State of Hidalgo in east-central Mexico.

As you wander the cobblestone streets, you'll feel as though you've stepped back in time. The town's colorful buildings and ornate churches transport visitors to the colonial era, when Mineral del Monte was a thriving silver mining town. In fact, the town's historic center is so well-preserved that it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010.

But the town's beauty extends beyond its architecture. Mineral del Monte is surrounded by lush forests and rolling hills, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers. Hike to the top of Cerro de la Cruz for panoramic views of the town and surrounding countryside, or explore one of the nearby nature reserves.
