The fortress is on an island in the river Mincio at its outlet from Lake Garda.

As you walk through the town, you will be greeted with stunning views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. The town's rich history is evident in its well-preserved fortifications that date back to the 16th century. You can take a leisurely stroll along the walls and admire the stunning views of the lake and the town.

Peschiera del Garda is also home to a number of beautiful churches, including the Church of San Martino and the Church of Madonna del Frassino. These churches are a testament to the town's strong religious heritage and offer a glimpse into its past.
