Ayers Rock Airport (Uluru, Connellan Airport) is an 8-minute drive from Sails in the Desert and free return transfers are available from this airport only.

Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock and officially gazetted as Uluru / Ayers Rock, is a large sandstone monolith. It crops out near the centre of Australia in the southern part of the Northern Territory, 335 km (208 mi) south-west of Alice Springs.

One of the most unique things about Ayers Rock is that it appears to change color throughout the day, depending on the angle of the sun. At sunrise and sunset, it can take on a beautiful red or orange hue, while during the day it may appear more brown or gray.
