Nembrala or Nemberala is a village (desa) on Rote Island, in Rote Barat district, Rote Ndao regency, East Nusa Tenggara province, Indonesia.
Nembrala is a small fishing village that's located on the south-west coast of Rote Island. It's known for its beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters, and world-class surf breaks. Unlike other popular tourist destinations in Indonesia, Nembrala has managed to maintain its traditional way of life and culture. As you walk through the village, you'll see locals going about their daily routines - fishing, weaving, and farming. It's a refreshing change of pace from the hustle and bustle of city life.
One of the main attractions in Nembrala is its surf breaks. The waves here are world-renowned, and surfers from all over the globe come to test their skills. The most popular surf break is T-Land - a left-hand reef break that produces long and barreling waves. The best time to surf in Nembrala is between May and October when the waves are at their best.
