The Saren

Tanah Lot is a rock formation off the Indonesian island of Bali. It is home to the ancient Hindu pilgrimage temple Pura Tanah Lot, a popular tourist and cultural icon for photography.

The Tanah Lot temple is perched on a rocky outcrop that juts out into the Indian Ocean, creating a dramatic and picturesque scene. The temple is dedicated to the sea gods and is believed to protect Bali from evil spirits. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Bali and is especially popular at sunset, as the temple is silhouetted against the orange and pink hues of the sky.

Aside from the temple, there are plenty of other things to see and do in Tanah Lot. The area is surrounded by beautiful rice paddies and lush green countryside, making it a great place for hiking and exploring. There are also several other temples in the area that are worth visiting, including the Batu Bolong Temple and the Pura Enjung Galuh Temple.
