Jerusalem is a city in the Southern Levant, on a plateau in the Judaean Mountains between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea. It is one of the oldest cities in the world and is considered a holy city to the three major Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Both Israel and Palestine claim Jerusalem as their capital city; Israel maintains its primary governmental institutions there, while Palestine ultimately foresees it as its seat of power. Neither claim is widely recognised internationally.

One of the most significant landmarks in Jerusalem is the Old City, which is surrounded by ancient walls and divided into four quarters: the Jewish Quarter, the Muslim Quarter, the Christian Quarter, and the Armenian Quarter. Each quarter has its unique charm and architecture, from the Western Wall in the Jewish Quarter to the Dome of the Rock in the Muslim Quarter.

Another must-see attraction in Jerusalem is the Mount of Olives, a hill located east of the Old City. The Mount of Olives offers stunning panoramic views of the city and is home to several important religious sites, including the Church of All Nations and the Garden of Gethsemane.
