Wyndham Grand Yangon

Yangon, also romanized in English as Rangoon, is the capital city of the Yangon Region and the largest city of Myanmar. Yangon was the capital city of Myanmar until 2005 and served as such until 2006, when the military government relocated the administrative functions to the purpose-built capital city of Naypyidaw in north central Myanmar. With over five million people, Yangon is Myanmar's most populous city and its most important commercial centre.

Formerly known as Rangoon, Yangon is the largest city in Myanmar and is home to over 7 million people. The city is a melting pot of cultures, with influences from China, India, and Thailand evident in its architecture, food, and way of life.

One of the most iconic landmarks in Yangon is the Shwedagon Pagoda, a stunning gold-plated stupa that towers over the city skyline. This Buddhist temple is believed to be over 2,500 years old and is considered one of the holiest sites in Myanmar.
