Sterzing is a comune in South Tyrol in northern Italy. It is the main town of the southern Wipptal, and the Eisack River flows through the medieval town. It is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia.
As you wander through the cobblestone streets of the town, you'll be transported back in time to the Middle Ages. The architecture of the buildings is truly remarkable, with intricate frescoes and ornate facades that showcase the town's rich cultural heritage. We recommend visiting the Torre delle Dodici (Tower of the Twelve), which dates back to the 14th century and offers stunning views of the town and surrounding mountains.
For nature lovers, Vipiteno is a paradise. The town is surrounded by the beautiful Alps, offering endless opportunities for hiking, biking, and skiing. If you're feeling adventurous, we recommend taking a cable car up to the top of Monte Cavallo, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the mountains and valleys below.
